The ability to detect even very small HOLOS patterns in the camera image means large surfaces at a long distance from the camera can be made interactive. Already using a camera resolution of only 0.3 mega pixels (VGA), allows interactive surfaces of up to 93 inches in diagonal. The precision for an area this large is still better than a fraction of a mm, i.e. better than the display pixel size of most large area projectors/displays, see Table 1.

The size of the interactive area increases when using higher resolution cameras, like the now common XGA , HD720 or HD1080 and also allows the HOLOS sphere to shrink in size, as can be seen in the following diagram:
